Whats my motor worth?

03 CRF Baldwin built race motor. It has all the bells and whistles minus big valves, opted for std titanium instead. I was offered $1300 which is a straight low ball, and the guy wants carb, electrics with it to boot. Opinions on the value in the motor.
It has about 8-10 hours on it. Labor from Baldwin plus parts was $1400.

used motors arent worth that much anymore. You can say there is only 8 hrs on it but you cant prove it. Hondas are also a dime a dozen its like buying a 350 chevy. I'd say try to get 1600 for it but not much more.

It being a hybrid motor is going to make it even harder to sell. If you don't need to sell it just hang on until someone comes along. I still can't see it bringing more than about $1500 with electrical, I would sell the carb seperate or add a hundred bucks.

u can get brandnew crf450 motors on e-bay for $2600.00 & that come w/ everything if that helps??

I didn't pay much more for a 05 crf450r motor w/ carb, electronics, twist throttle. Top and bottom end was rebuilt also, was never started after. Used motors don't bring the money they used to. Crf450r motors are a dime-a-dozen. You can see 10-15 of them on ebay at any time. Its not like 02-late 04 where those motors were gold and very high demand for hybrid use on atv's.
