where to start??

want to get my little brother into racing quads. he is 11 years old and weighs about 60-70 lbs. dont know what kind of quad class he would race in or anthing about racing that young.. so any information would be nice to have.. thanks so much..

maybe a raptor 250 or a 300ex? i rode one that age and as long as he doesnt go outside his limit its a good bike. especially for his age

When I was about his age, I started on a Blaster... Don't even know if they still make blasters. But its a very good starter quad for the price.

I beat the hell outta mine. Blew it up 4 times, snapped the swingarm in half....... But all in all, it was a great quad to start on.

Im guessing they discontinued them with the banshee, but not sure.... Used ones go for real cheap.

300ex is the way to go. they sell so much aftermarket parts for those things so there is plenty of room to grow.

I thank you all for the feed back that you all have provided. Right now he is riding a 200 just to get used to the cornering and shifting without the clutch. Once he has grasped the concept of these 2 things I am going to move him up, prob to a 300ex(stock). Thanks again..
