Does anyone have these for the 400EX?? Does anyone have decent pictures on where they mount or how easy they are to mount? I heard they are not very clear with directions on the newer models such as my 08. Any help would be great.

Here is the link to the ones i was inquiring about:

I am not mechanically inclined but do you have pics that you could post for me to give me an idea how and where they mount?

A trained monkey could put these things on. All the more you do is take out the 3 bolts the hold the fenders on and put back together with the scoop in place you will need a longer bolt for the one though, or you could improvise like i did and just leave the bracket out and run it with out it and use a bolt and nut to hold the other part of the fender, just as strong and looks cleaner to me.

LOL...I meant to say hat i am pretty mechanically inclined and for some reason cannot get the picture in my god&&& head as to how they look or what bolts to remove and then replace. I think your explanation does help and will try again tomorrow.

I have a pair of these on my 400, and it took a total of 10 min to put them on. They have held up fine for me with out any problems or regrets for buying them. They are a good product for the money tho...l.:D

i think the problem may be since mine is a 2008. I have sent them back and going with tinner scoops instead.

You shouldnt have any problems with them, my buddy runs a set of them on his drag bike which he is running 08 plasic on. But he is just running the upper parts, not the lower with the actual fenders.

....the fenders dont got anything to do with his bike.... they all mount up the same.

The stock fenders on an 07 and stock fenders on an 08 are different. The brackets and bracing are different. maybe that was why they would not mount up. 2 dealers also confirmed my suspicion that the fenders are not the same on 07's and 08's.
