I was looking into getting one of these,I was wondering if anyone could give me some advice on this model,the goods,and bads.Thanks

read through some of the threads that are already started. I think there was one on this very topic just a few days ago called, "oops did I make a mistake" and I know there are several other threads discussing the dfferences between the outlaw 500 and 525.

Not sure if you made a typo or not, but there was not an Outlaw in '04. If the machine you are looking at is an '04 model it is a Predator.

The Outlaw came to be in '06 with the 500, in '07 they offered both the Outlaw 500 and 525, in '08 it went to the Outlaw 525 IRS, Outlaw 525S and Outlaw 450MXR.

don't worry about it. I just thought it would be better to direct you where you needed to look than to not answer, or type out a really long answer about how great the outlaws are (esp. the IRS models :D )

Yes, I was the one who was concerned about buying a Fuji engine Outlaw.
So far, I have been quite pleased with it. I have also heard a lot of good things from others on the Fuji motor. I do not race, so the extra hp doesn't really matter to me as much as reliabilty and trail worthiness- both of which I have been told is tried and true with the Fuji.
The thumb throttle and feel of the IRS are the two main things I need to get used to.

This weekend I am going to Somerset, PA to ride. So, after that I will really have a good feel for the Outlaw.
