I took this weekend off to finish my garage project. I put the epoxy coating on the floor with the colored chips and painted the walls. I think it came out pretty clean....

Did you race at the Missouri State fair this year? You're quad looks really familiar.

Few questions bout the floor.

Was it easy to do and does it get those tire marks when you leave something sit for awhile?

Been thinking about doing this to my garage floor as well.

It looks really good, let us know how it holds up (the floor that is).

Yes I raced at the state fair.

The floor hasn't been done long enough to know if it leaves tire marks on it. I will update later on that.

It was pretty easy to do. It says one gallon does 250 sq ft, I got closer to 300 ft per gallon. It is a 2 part epoxy so you have to apply it with in 1.5 hours of mixing. I have a 3 car garage and I trimmed the edges and rolled it by myself and finished with in 2 hours. I had to mix 3 seperate gallons. Moving everything out and back in is the hard part...

I thought that name sounded familiar. You probably saw me get landed on by the yellow LTR in C class and break my arm.

Garage looks awesome by the way.

Did the crash your talking about happen in the back double?

my garage never in its lifetime of my family living here has ever looked that clean. If you saw it now it looks pretty bad, oil and sweep away everywhere, quads and motors everywhere, 2 lawnmowers 1 taken apart, a weight set, a golfcart collectiing dust...

What brand of epoxy did you use? What kind/where did you get the paint chips? Any recommendation on the type of rollers to use?

Looks good man. I have heard with some of those epoxy floor coatings you will get tire marks if the tires are hot when you pull in. That is just hear say though. You shouldn't have a problem with the quad though.

I used to work at a chevy garage and when they built their new shop we put that stuff down, then put a few coats of wax over it and has held up great with as much traffic as u can imagine that goes through a dealership garage. Then once a week we would hose it all off, dump some purple power on it, scrub it with a push broom, then squeegee it off. After about 3 years still looks good....just some random, scrapes from stuff being dragged but other then that still looks awesome... I would def get a squeegee though that helps keep it looking really good.

It was the rustoleum brand. I just used a normal paint roller with a 1/2" nap.

It took forever to get that pic to work. My camera takes the pics really big and I don't have a way to resize them. The pic started out at 350kb and I email to myself to aol mail to resize it for me. That got it to 175kb. Then I did something else(not sure how it happened) and it got down to where it is now.

you can use paintshop on your computer. Open the file then go to Image. Click on resize/skew then adjust it and save the photo.

Where it says resize just put a 50 in the 'horizontal' box and a 50% in the 'vertical' box(larger or smaller depanding on the original file size). Once you find it, it is pretty self explainitory.
