Best option for a spare key?

Around how much does it cost to get a copy key made at a honda dealership? I talked to a key maker in my town and he said if I buy a blank he'd copy it for free because he doesn't have motorcycle blanks and I found one for five bucks.

yeah thats how you do it where i live, you buy a blank from a dealer and the hardware store does it for free cause its not their key and they dont guarantee it...... although since then if ound a new dealer that stocks keys and a key maker so thats where i go now

all the dealers around me will cut a new one for like $4.

The only problem here is there is only one dealer so all his stuff is overpriced.
