250r or lt500r????

i have a 87 250r now that i was going to do a complete rebuild on this winter...the bike runs great so i just wanted to freshen it up..i found a quadzilla for sale and its in excellent shape and i can get it for $1100..i know your all die hard 250r fans but i want to her advice from you and not suzuki guy's...they would tell me to go with the suzuki of coarse...should i buy this or should i put the money on the 250r..thanks

i can almost guarentee if he is selling that for only $1100 the motor is thrashed... comestically it appears to be in great shape, which even further raises my suspession that something else must be big time wrong. that zilla should easily sell for 3k....

i havent ridden a 330-350-370 trx yet, thats next on my aquistion list, but my stock zilla is about as fast as my LRD TRX 250r. and my Doctor Q Rx'd 540 ported, piped, carb, etc., etc., etc., etc. zilla motor in my hybrid is a damn rocket ship! honestly makes my LRD trx feel like a stock blaster. if you do get that zilla there is a site you need to be on: quadracerhq dot com ;)

the first mod is to get rid of that FMF crap and get a Doc Q pipe... :devil:

how long have you been riding? unless you have 8-10 years of riding under your belt, i would say stick with the 250r. I've been racing MX for about 15 years and the hybrid scares the crap out of me nearly ever time I ride it. But that also is what makes it fun... just be warned :macho

he said it run great but needs to sell for new baby on the way..he wanted more for it so i shot him a offer just to see what he'd take...to my surprise he said come and get it..

I would jump on it,if its a 87 thats even better because it has the larger reed cage:) i always thought the build quality was suspect on the early suzuki enything but i like those 500s,and the 91 and up 250r quadracers:D

im not going to get it...it has a plus 3 swingarm and a 3 mil stroker. i dont need that much motor..and yes, it an 87

well then give me his contact info. I bet my zilla buddies would jump all over that... (sure doesnt look like a +3 swinger and stroker crank for the zilla is very rare...)
