Ok i just done a complete build on my 07 ER. i trimmed some of the warning harness but only the not wanted stuff like lights and all that. Now it will run but you have to jump the sylenoid to get it to run it wont start with the start button. I have tried a different sylenoid and still nothing?? whats wrong?

when you trimmed the lights did you trim the start button wire from where the switch is? check your fuse next to the battery.

What are you using for a start button? The factory switch or a YZ kill switch.

Well you have done something wrong, what i don't know but i would look into the switch or the wiring cause something isn't right. back track your work or even hook up the old light/start switch and see if that works and go from there cause i am using a YZ kill switch for a start button and it works fine and i have also hooked up a few so u have something wrong.

The yz kill switch was hooked up a year before i done the build and it worked fine, just started doing this after the build??

Well you have a short or a bad ground or something going on, did you remove anything else besides the headlight harness?

You cut the wires to the neutral from where? and did you cut any throttle wires? its obvious you cut something that needs to be connected.

lol yeah man i know i just cant figure out what..............there was a single wire that come out of the wire harness that ran down to the sensor by the shifter for neutral. I wired the wires together off the clutch perch but that was done a year ago. I also cut the wires on the TPS a year ago. There is one plug still hanging from the carb that i didnt plug in but i read that none of the carb wires matter???

You need to hook that carb wire up it does matter, I have a 400ex thumb throttle and had to connect the thumb switch wires together so hook that up and see if that takes care of your problem.
