needle clip broke

went riding this weekend and my bike just dies so when i got home I decieded to clean my carb and when I pulled the slide out and the needle stayed in the main jet, explains why it would idle fine and when i give it gas it would puke

anyone ever had this happen

I had that happen once. Same symptoms. Fortunately, I diagnosed it at the trail and fixed it there.

That was a few years ago. Starting about 2003, the last few original parts I had on my R started going bad, from the wiring harness, to the needle clip, and most recently the stator.

Whenever something went, I'd start to get annoyed, but then realize that for it to have lasted 20 years is a pretty good run!
