I don't think anyone has ever asked this one...
OK, you know inside your carb, the main jet screws into the bottom of the needle jet, right...
Then the needle jet there threads into the carb itself.
It has a lot of threads on the outside and a locknut to hold it in place.

Now, here comes the question....
What effect would come about from varying the depth that needle jet is screwed into the carb itself????
It is my understanding that this part is supposed to be screwed all the way into the carb until it stops, and then the locknut set...
But what if it wasn't?
What would that do?
