Hey guys

I have an 03 Honda 400ex w/ Sparks pipe, airfilter and jets

I'm looking for good and reliable piston/cam pump gas combo..Also im looking good strong and light axle for jumping and playing.

My ride style is trails and dragging with friends

as for piston and cam, i say get a je, cp, or wiseco 11:1 and stage 1 or 2 hotcam. The stage 1 will have more lowend while the stage 2 has more mid to top but both will give all around gains. 11:1 is the highest you need to go on 93 octane.

sparks racing 6 degree timing advance key, 10:1 wiseco and stage 1 hotcam. it will be fast

I would say go to a 406 to get a fresh bore on the motor. As far as an axle. I have a lonestar +4 but it can be shortened to +2. I havent had any problems with it.

What about JJ&A axle?

that would be ok for drag racing, but not jumping at all. It would probably bend.

What's the deal with the timing advance key? Does it make that much of a difference?

yes, worth every penny. do it and dont bother questioning it. I spent so much time questioning it before i bought it rather than going faster and enjoying the 400ex more. and after talking to the right people about it it wouldnt harm anything. great mod. you will feel it and deffinately notice it
