it is higher octane but you wont get as good of fuel millage because it has less energy

You will also need to rejet before running it, about 25-30% richer.

It will also make the engine run cooler and cleaner but it will be harder to start in cold weather, you may have to use a 50/50 mix if you ride in the cold.

Would you guys think it is a good idea to switch, alot cheaper than race fuel. I no it would take more E 85 but its only like 3.40 a gallon vs 6 or 7 bucks a gallon if not more.

I forgot who it is but someone runs it with like a 195 main jet. Just keep in mind ethanol eats aluminum, brass and most rubber seals, leave it in the carb too long and you might start to have some big problems.

It is a good solvent, I use it to wash parts:D

what i do is add 1 cup of sugar per gallon and then drink it like moonjuice

Dont worry about it eating aluminum. Look at all the flex fuel vehicles using them with all aluminum engines. Ive been using it for over a year with no problems. Plus it was good for a 2 hp increase on the dyno not to mention it runs cooler. Not a good time to cenvert it it though just before winter, youll never get it up to temp. 3.40 a gallon is out of hand, its about 2.60 here in pa. Run 50-50 and you will have no problem what so ever and you can keep the stock carb. If you have an FCR go straight e85.
