I believe my clutch is slipping slightly after doing the 416 kit and cam. I am wondering what clutch kit you guys suggest. I want a little more holding power and is there anything else I should do while I am at it?

I got Vesrah fibers, factory steels, and ebc hd springs. They work good for me with all the abuse I give it.... Ive heard good things about ebc clutch kits. The factory plates with Hd springs are also a good setup too.

Thanks for the Info. I am still wondering if I will need to get a new basket and has anyone used any of the Barrnet clutch stuff. with the HD springs how stiff is the clutch handle

My clutch is starting to slip too.
I was thinking to do the Barnett kit.
It is supposed to be a slight improvement over stock.
Anyone know?

I am looking for a drastic change over stock. Can anyone recomend a clutch to insure that I will not slip with my current setup and I would also like to maybe add some more power in the future. Please recommend something that will last.

I bought my ebc springs separate off of rmatv. The pull is not that much more than stock, but then I've also heard a few people that had the ebc kit say the pull is a lot more than stock. My springs are 10% stiffer.. Im not sure but I think I remember the kits springs being maybe 30% stiffer? Maybe somebody else might know that.
Well, if you're really wanting something drastic, you can get an 8 plate clutch kit. That oughta hold. ;)

Barnett is also a good kit I've heard, but costs a lil more than ebc.

You shouldn't have any problems with an EBC kit.

Us Canadians typically have to pay a lot more for ATVs and parts here,
I thought the Barnett at $130 was a pretty good price.

I just looked up the EBC and can get it for $75 BUT that doesn't include the steel plates. The Barnett comes with the steel plates.
A new Wiseco basket is $336 (ouch) hope my basket is still ok.
I will check my local dealer and see if I can get the complete EBC kit like posted above for around the $100 range.

i would recommend a p.e. billet clutch basket if you do need a new one. ive had mine in since june and just tore the covers off to get some powdercoating done. absolutely no sign of wear after some pretty heavy abuse :eek2:

Anyone Know how much better the Sparks Clutch Kit is over the EBC or Barnett. $130 isn't bad and I live in the same town as Sparks so I can go pick it up.

google search Gigot Racing, he makes a "sling shot" lock up that fits under your stock cover. No clutch slip ever again.
