which frame does the lt500 boot work on? And the answer is not no link unless the other no-link frames are different then the lobo, because there is a bar on my frame right where this would come through

When I ran a airbox on my LOBO no-link the LT500 boot is exactly what works.

I will tell you this that it is a ****** installing it! I used a approx 2 " aluminum spacer between carb and boot.

Look at top sides... Large Zip Ties worked best. The box ends up back past mounts.

Using the zilla boot. I used a 1990 LT 500 boot going to a 4.5 inch OD aluminum turbo tube, then to a K&N universal filter with obviously a 4.5 inch ID diamater flange.
I made custom supports out of 1 inch raw square stock using billit front brake lines of a yamaha YFZ which so happens to be the same size square tubing as the R sub frame.
It clears the shock well but it is a tight fit. Also what you see is version 2.0 of a custom splash gard/airbox. I am trying to figure out a way to make this box clear as well.
Once again I have not forgot about you danhung11 and masterLTR450.

Doug Roll gave me a cadium plated air boot extension that allowed the use of the stock air boot. It has a scallop welded into to side to allow the extension to off set into the frame upright. The lt500 boot is a cleaner way to go though. Stock air box is nice to be able to run either way although it is set back further past the stock air box mounts.
