how good is this?
at the moment my 400 is still all stock, what all would this key do?
how much of an improvement for a small investment under $30?

I was skeptacle about buying one, I figured how much could it do? could it screw up my motor? going into unknow territory the flywheel side of the motor could be trouble for me... Tri5ron made a "How to" on it. I bought one and I was very impressed for the time to install it and everything, dont forget about new gaskets which cost me $16 or something. It would have been worth it if it ended up being $75 or so because its a cheap mod that you can really feel. Heres the How To:

very helpful guide, yeah i was a little unsure didnt wanna mess my engine up.
becides the local honda shop any other place that might sell the gaskets?

I actually went to another dealership besides my local Honda that always had 400ex parts in stock. Its odd but my local KTM dealership has tons of 400ex parts in the back. If you need to order other stuff servicehonda.com is usually the cheapest you will ever find a part.

ok well i was just curious. need to stop by the honda shop anyways..pick up some oil/filters new helmet ect.. lol.
that guide you posted it has the item number for the gasket. if i would tell them that number would it be the same item in there shop? want to call in ahead of time and get it ready for pick up.
hate just telling them what it is..80% of the time somehow they end up getting my parts mixed up

yeah that should be the right part number. i went ahead and replaced the other gasket for the starter cover too cost like $2.61 or something.
