View Full Version : 06 Outlaw- hydraulic clutch

Does the 06 Outlaw have a hydraulic clutch?
I saw the boot has Magura on it.
It does pull a lot nicer than my EX.

Proper procedure for reverse- neutral, push right lever, pull in clutch, kick down until R lights (twice I believe), let out on clutch.
To go forward just kick up once, lever snaps forward, go. ????

Oh yeah, where is the fuel shut off valve? I see the sticker on the left side. ????

I need to get a service manual. lol

06 with Fuji 500 doesn't have the hydraulic clutch. Thats on the 525 KTM.
Reverse is one click down from 1st. If you're in 1st gear pull in the clutch and push the reverse lever and down on shift lever. You can do it from neutral as you said but you don't have to put it into neutral first.

you can upgrade it to the hydralic though and boy is it nice!!!! It is easier to pull than the KTM clutch.

Why does it have Magura on the boot then?
Does Magura make non-hydraulic systems? This quad is 100% bone stock so i know it isn't aftermarket.

Thats good to know about the reverse! Downshift to first, lever, declutch, shift seems a bit easier and quicker then having to find neutral first. !!!

Even stock this clutch is much nicer than the one on my EX!!!!!
And, mine is the Fuji.

I have had 2 of the 500 outlaws, never an EX though. I rode my buddies Predator with the Hydraqlic clutch and fell in love. I went searching for a deal on one.

The best deal I found on the Hydrulic Clutch was through Ridenow.com, on the main page put in part number 2874534 in the lower left corner where it says Quick Order. Price is $145.59 delivered.

that is way cheaper than the deal I got.
