yes i could def tell a diff in the sound output. As far as how many dbs diff you would have to ask hmf. i bought it for trail riding. I rode in an area that i wasnt supposed to be so i wanted to be as quiet as possible without going back to stock. But i only race my atv now so i dont need this anymore.
