i have a an arctic cat fis 500 4x4 with a suzuki motor
because i have the cvt belt drive do i have to use the 4 stroke oils that have the wet clutch additive , or can i run conventional
automotive type motor oil as there are no clutches in my case?

I had the same ATV and I ran 10w-40
AMSOIL motorcycle oil. No problems and it's a synthetic oil.

You can run regular automotive oil. You are correct in assuming the no clutch thing = okay to run car oil. Actually I've had great luck with diesel oils like Rotella T. You can run the dino 15w40 or the synthetic 5w40.
