One of my friends has a raptor 350 and is wondering what mods work best to give it some more torque? He needs some low grunt to pop the front end up on woop sections of the trails. Just wondering if you guys have tried anything that worked really well. We are going to drop the front sprocket one tooth down .

Are you saying to do this instead of dropping the front one tooth or do both...Drop the front sprocket down one tooth and add 2 teeth to the rear.

PS: we will be dropping the rear tire size to 18in so that will kinda have the same effect as adding teeth to the rear sprocket.

well this what i did, i went down 1t on the front and 2t on the rear and kept the 20in rear tires for the rough Ohio terrian( ground clearance). But i will warn you you will lose all top end speed. my current sprocket ratio is 15t /40t but that with a full stage 1 xc race rebuild.

Go up a couple of teeth on the rear and try that alone first.

Dropping the front one tooth is like adding 3 to the rear so i figured it would be a cheaper easier away to achieve the same goal .
