I live in Durham, actually right on the Orange/Durham county border. I ride some trails over near the airport/Brier Creek.......but only in the cooler months.

We usually go to a MX track or riding park though. My favorite place to ride is in Henderson, at North Carolina Motorsports Park (www.ncmp.net). Its a family owned and run park........several MX tracks to ride, and lots of trails.

I know when I was younger.. there used to be a place called Radio Island near Morehead City, I believe. I think its all shut down to ATVs though... go figure.. Last time I went to NC I took my quad, I was very disappointed.. all the trails had been replaced by new housing...

unfortunately there really is no place to ride around raleigh unless you want to trespass. you have to go to goldsboro or uwharrie to free ride. there are a few mx tracks around but they are too restrictive. i used to ride out at brier creek and stuff when they were building 540... that was alot of fun. i have a friend in sanford that has alot of land and that is where i usually go.... as far as the guy that lives in charlotte i think carolina adventure world is your best bet.... that place is pretty cool.... this is a pic from my secret stash of riding area by my house......

we went out in the snow all day and now its maintenance time... so it will probably be in the next couple of weeks that we'll go to busco depending on the weather. my buddy is looking to buy a 400ex so once he gets that we'll be riding, cause hell be on my *** about it. so ill let you know... did you get any snow time?

im a newbie here, but a regular over at trx450r.org. im a fellow NC rider always looking for fun places to go. we have some mild trails here in the fayetteville/hope mills area but i usually go to cape fear mx and atv park in elizabethtown. busco is fun... wide open in raeford is fun.. and there is supposed to be a new spot in laurenburg that currie motors sports is running... i havent been there yet though. shoot a PM my way if you guys ever wanna ride.. i try to ride at least 2-3 times a week, so im always ready!

I just toke my predator to the shop. found out my clutch basket and plates are shot to hell. 450 bucks so my bike wont be back and running till tuesday of next week. They said it would take them like 3 days just to get the parts they needed. Sorry blunted. maybe next weekend? i think its time to get rid of the pred and step up to the outlaw 525 straight axle. i aint getting independent suspension

went to busco yesterday... it was awesome.... besides having to take a buddy to the hospital for a separated shoulder and torn ligaments in his knee from a nasty spill... he's ok. they are doing alot of work out there,,, they are in the process of making a new motocross track. they got the layout down and just need to put the jumps in.. on april 11 they are having a big swap meet. we will probably go to that.

I'd love to check out CAW. For us Busco is only an hour away so day trips are easy. CAW is 4-5 hours away so a trip there would be an overnighter. Been waiting for the weather to get warmer.

I have been there just about every other weekend since I bought this YFZ in Sept '07. They have a flat track, intermediate MX track, and a race track they hold D13 and D29 races on. Plus lots of trails as well.

Me and a friend are going to Brown Mountain this Thursday. You cant buy passes at the mountain. You have to buy them at one of the vendors. Search Brown Mountain NC and it should come up. I got mine at Fun Cycles off I-40, exit 111. 30 bucks for a season pass, 5 bucks for a day. Not to bad if u like to ride a while. Ive alrdy riden a few times and they didnt open it up until April 1st. Season pass is from april 1-jan 1 of 2010. So not to bad of a price IMO.

Me and my friends ride pretty hard, just FYI. Wont hit you, just ride fairly quickly.

Brown is great, and can get really technical. Definitely need 6 ply tires and full skids....as the rocks are in abundance there. I made it up there last year for the first time......will definitely go back.

From some friends on a NC based ATV forum, it has been recommended to go early in the year when Brown opens back up. The trails will be freshly groomed...

Yea, you need full skids. I have Houser arms and dont run any on them. But i never really ran into any problems with the front end. The swinger skid will take a beating.

I went, wrecked twice, nothing major. Had a good time. Pushed myself, got some good practice in.

We will probably go next Saturday (the 26th i think). If u wanna head up then, come on up.

Good day at Busco today. Well, I guess I never had a bad day there, even though I've blown some stuff up there in the past. Nobody broke, nobody got hurt, but watching my bro flip himself off in a creek was funny as hell. Landed flat on his back in 2 feet of water while trying to soak us on the side. Served him right.

Anyone else seen the dragstrip at Busco since they set up the lights and tree? We saw the setup the weekend before they had a race there. Heard there were some bad bikes there for the race.

just went friday through saturday. there is no tree. i was starting a few of the races for about 45 minutes. may have one just for the REAL races. the lights were only on both nights till about 11pm. saturday they had guy flip behind the drag strip he was covered up in a white sheet. so dont know what happened me and my girl just followed the abulance going into the park we were at the road crossing when they came by. it was a good weekend but i expected ALOT more. had a few idiots cutting infront of people but busco patrol did a great job stopping alot of that crap.
