I have a set of geckos from my daughters last quad that we are going to try. They have a v shape to them, they worked well on the kfx80. Have you had your s in sand befor? I just got this xtreme it had the 125cc in it with a broken crank so i put a 160cc gpx in it still waiting on the exhaust adapter to come in the mail. so i have not yet started it yet. we do a lot of sand riding and i hope it performs as good as or better than the kfx80. back to the sand tires, my nephew has a apex 90 with straight paddles and he has a hard time turning, it tends to want to push him straight.

Be sure to play with the air psi in the tires, it can realy make it get going better.

we have a trx90 and the xtreme 125. on the 90 the stock tires are way better than the ams sidewinder paddles. the 125 does ok with the stock tires but digs in to easy. dont have paddles for it. in my opinion i would go with a little wider and taller stock type tire. these little quads dont have enough power to turn a paddle very good, but the 160 motors might be better.

I hope it does better than the kfx80, but the 80 did pretty well but every body in our group is going faster now, so the 80 was getting left behind, so i am hopping the 160cc will bring my daughter up were she wants to be and climb the hills that she couldn't do befor. We will be running the bigger tires, the stock tires were 18 inch but the after market tires are 18" but they are much taller. I don't know what that is about? The sand tires are bigger than the stock tires too so it should go pretty well.:)

OH and by the way i have the kfx 80 for sale If any one is interested or knows someone that would be interested. They can e-mail me at jtprock@sbcglobal.net.

yea there was another thread about tires and i think the stock tires only measure 16.5 inches. i bought some flat track tires in 18 inch and they seemed huge!! they are the duro flat track tire. next time im buying the american racer in 16 inch.

get the skat trak glider 18x8.5 on a douglas .125 wheel and you will be happy. that is what my son runs on his typhoon. they work good when he had the gpx 125 with a 146 big bore kit and even better with his gpx yx160 motor. my next mod is to shave his flywheel.

Is shaveing the flywheel like the IRK kits or is it making the flywheel weigh less? How is that done?

noth. you shave the stock fly wheel to reduce weight so it acts mor like a IRK but still maintains some of the snti stall quality of the normalt flywheel

do you put it on a lathe or What? Take it to a machine shop? Who do you use? this sounds like I may do this to my 160cc gpx.
