I tried to direct wire (no battery) one of these DC CDI boxes with no luck!!!
Orange from CDI to coil, red from CDI to yellow/red stator wire which is lighting coil, white/red from CDI to white/red stator wire,
and black from CDI to ground. No luck no spark.
Harness is stripped from machine (AC stock 08 DRX 90).
Does the black/red wire from stator need to be connected anywhere?
Or can anyone please help me on advancing stator?

Thanks for your help,

Call Justin at Maximum RPM. I got one but I'm not at home to look at it. Someone on here will get you right.

you have to ground it to the motor not the chassis. ours is grounded to one of the bolts on the cvt cover. we had the same problem.

if installing with out the use of a battery install as follows. red wire from cdi will connect directly to the yellow/red from stator. white/red from cdi connect to white/red from stator. orande to coil and black to ground
