Is it possible to use a no link shock on a 450R, i understand there might be some mods to making it fit with the air box, but i dont know if it will work

KOQ make a no-link swingarm for the 450r but from what I have heard, you want to stay away from that company.

IMO the upper shock mount on a 450R is to low for a NL to work properly. Most NL shocks are in the 19" range.

Agreed, take a look at the KTM quads, they're a perfect example of how a no link should be, or an LSR framed 250R/hybrid using a no-link, or a Roll Design Lobo chassis.

You could always do some serious modding and raise the rear shock mount to change the angle, but that will require airbox mods, gas tank spacing, and probly quite a few other little things.

does anyone have any pictures that would be good enough for me to find the angle of the shock, or even a picture with an angle finder if anyone has one. it will be greatly appreciated,i really want to make my other r more custom than my first one and i want it to be different.

Daryl Rath did a no link for his 07 450R TT bike. I've never seen it done for an MX setup though. You could give him a call a see what he says about it.

We have been using no links from KOQ Racing for over 4 years, and we now have one on our trx 450. I am confused about why you would say that, have you ever used any of their products? they always have top national riders on their products, and are VERY racer friendly.

I have a 04 ATK/C-dale that are a NL set-up & the shock length is about 15 1/2 eye to eye.

not to mention throwing the geometry off and making it damn near impossible to get a good riding shot.
