View Full Version : What year Raptor do I have?

Hi everyone,
I have a raptor 660 and I don't know what year the engine is. The frame is definitly an 01'. The guy I bought if from told me the engine was from a 2003.

Here is the VIN # on the engine...

M301E-045070

have you tried a dealership?!? I know a friend had the same question on a street bike and the dealership was able to look at the vin and tell him the year.

If it have it's origional plastics on and it's black and red , then it's an 03' model .

I found out it is an 03' because I split the cases to work on the transmission. 01' has 29 teeth on 2nd gear, and 03' has 30 teeth. This one has 30 teeth an the engine looks to have never been opened before, so I am pretty sure it is an 03'. Thanks for all the help!
