how do you take springs off the Works Tripple rates??

i want to paint up the springs on my works shocks they do have rezzies. is there an easy way to take the springs off without having to remove the rezzies, also how do those rings come off that hold the springs and make them all compressed. thakns

On the bottom of the shock. There is a piece that you have to push up and turn. It has a slot cut in it. It slides out allowing your springs to drop.

Jack up your quad to take some of the pressure off the springs, then loosen up the preload at the top - compress the springs and move the ring at the top up, that will take all the pressure off the springs, then unbolt them, and like occra said there is a piece at the bottom that slides up then pull it out, and you can take the springs off.

alright thanks alot guys, now if i paint them with paint made for metal, since the shocks will be compressing and stretching will the paint peel off and crack?

Get them powder coated it will last alot longer.
