I was told that the 400ex aarms and shocks were a direct bolt on. Only problem is, I can't get my shocks to bolt up. I had an extra set of 450R shocks that I was planing to use, since they worked with the stock 400ex aarms, I figured they would work for the 300/400 aarm conversion. But, there is no way in hell I can get those to bolt up. So, for now I tossed the 300ex shocks back on it, but now it looks like a flat track machine with the short shocks. The aarms are nearly sitting level, no angle at all....lol. Maybe 10 degree.

What shocks need to be used for this application??? I need a shock inbetween the lengths of the 300ex shock and the 450R shock. I belive the 450R shock is 16 3/4" from eye to eye, the 300ex shocks are dramaticly shorter.

so noticed there were no post's. i think that putting 400ex a-arm's on a 300ex is a little much but then putting 450r shock's??? i think that is over the top. the 300ex was made for 300ex stock front end. my 400ex sit's 2 inches high with the 450r's on it. so i can't even imagine how screwed up the geo would if you actually made this work. u would be breaking stuff left and right. but if you make it work let me know. cause that is only my 2 cent's.

YOu need a shock relocation bracket like in this picture.

there are a couple different kinds if i remember correctly, but all do the same thing.
