Round #11 has landed smack dab in the middle of a tropical storm but thankfully, so far, heavy rains have not been turned loose on the event. Light rain fell on and off throughout the day on friday, however Unadilla is known to like a little rain to help the soil tack up.

Tireballs Jeff Stoess was busy most of the afternoon and took a break from installations.

ATVriders.com Pro rider Jarrod McClure was out and about dodging rain drops. Jarrod shared his feelings on the race that mimicked that of Chris Borich in which they both felt if the rain wasnt any harder through race time, the course should run in nicely.

The Ballance crew must have their machines ready to roll, and spent some time planting a tree and adding mulch to their pit area:p

After battling for the lead at Snowshoe, then having problems in the final two laps, has Chris Borich gunning for a win. Borich was in great spirits and should be one to watch tomorrow.

Bryan Cook stumbled at round 10 but is still in the hunt for his best season ever. Cook was cruising at mach 2 as he gets his shocks from being serviced and prepared to reinstall them.

Fresh off his first 4x4 lites win, Jerime Dudding is looking for a repeat! Dudding spent alot of the summer break dialing in his suspension and wants to remain up front!

Mark Warnert, the man behind the successful Warnert Racing, searches for cell signal like the rest of us. Warnert racing has been making a big name for itself in atv racing and has their sights set on even bigger things as the sport grows.

Rick Cecco has been fighting his set up all season, and at round 1 in Florida he explained that he had no idea how making the switch to the Renegade would work out. With hard work and his share of successes and failures, Rick seems to be closing in on his machine being able to run where he likes it. Keep an eye out for him tomorrow.

Those charged with keeping the transponder scoring up and running were ahead of schedule as the day seemed to slip away

Pappy

Registration took a bit longer, mainly due to people not knowing what line they should be in.

Pappy

I spent my 45 minutes in line taking pictures of this kid:p

Pappy

That is about all I have for this evening, and I will do my best to get live coverage rolling for everyone. Keep your fingers crossed the rain cuts us some slack and we get in some good racing tomorrow!

To be honest with you, these forums are a better way of keeping updated. The live feed only updates as riders come through each lap. Emily is supposed to call me after the start, and lap by lap and with course updates so I will pass on the info. Lots of fans do that so never mind that awesome technology that doesn't work. :) We do better ourselves even from home

Wow, 6 points between 2nd and 5th, looks like St. Clairsville and The Ironman will be the two best races of the season

Congrats to Bithell!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! One of my favorites and Im stoked the CAn AM finally held together. Hopefully this is a sign of good things to come for that team

See you in St. Clairsville :D

This is what the GNCC site says about what happened to Ballance..................

Bithell Takes Unadilla GNCC

Saturday, September 27, 2008

Warnert Racing Can-Am's Chris Bithell won the Can-Am Unadilla GNCC in dramatic fashion, topping KTM's Taylor Kiser and Team Excell Motorsport's Bryan Cook on the podium after Yamaha's Bill Ballance suffered a derailed chain in the final corner of the race.

Bithell's win is his first of the year and the first ever XC2 Pro Overall Win for his team and the Can-Am DS450. Bithell held off Ballance through the last turn to take the win, and then Ballance's machine locked up when his chain came off. Kiser, Cook, and Rockstar Yoshimura Suzuki's Chris Borich got past to relegate Ballance to fifth, as the defending GNCC Champion had to push his machine to the finish line up hill.

GT Thunder Yamaha's Don Ockerman won the XC2 Pro Am Class and also wrapped up the XC2 Class Championship.

Despite rain all weekend, the Unadilla track was actually dusty as the dry weather from the last few weeks managed to prevent the race from becoming a mudder.

??????? I'm confused. I also had a question on the other classes that do drop races. Does the GNCC site show the other classes with races already dropped from their points totals. Thanks got a lot of people I am armchair racing for. :)

I didn't add any of them up I was just showing what they had listed on the GNCC site.

I think the other classes do show the points with the throw outs already figured.

Did you get the points from the results page after they put unadilla up? That is where I got them.
I know they don't even have my points right. I only raced three but still it would be nice if it showed the correct amount.

oh, and Math sure isn't my thing :D :D :D :D

Absolutely fantastic race, we saw it all from rain and mud to sunshine and dust! I apologize for the limited live coverage, we can't create signal.

Driving home on 81 now, afternoon images are being processed and I'll have a few pics up before I get home!

It sounds like it was a crazy day all across the board from the weather to the finish. This is a pic of my nephew who race bikes and atvs for the first time. He got a 2nd on atv and 1st on bike next superstar!
