Carrier Bearings

Are they pressed into the carrier? My dealer says they are and wants to charge me over $100 for the bearings, seals, O rings and for them to be pressed.

bearings and seals are about $50. They are not pressed in you can put them in with a hammer or freeze the bearings and they will drop right in.

yeah you can beat them out. Then to put them in get a extention and socket and hammer evenly around the outside. Dont hit the inner race though, you could mess up the bearing. You can find a complete bearing and seal kit on ebay for cheaper than $50.
