i know this may sound dumb but i CANNOT get my silencer to line back up with the bottom bolt.
the top aligns fine but the bottom it always off by about a quater inch.
ive tried and tried but it wont, im affraid if i keep "man handling" it im gunna end up breaking/bending something.
it seems like its pushed onto the exhaust as far as it can be but it still wont line up.
anybody had this problem?

its a 07

we can all probably help alittle better if you posted a pic, so if you can do that it'd be great.

if not, try putting the bottom bolt through and then twist the exhaust back and see if itll squeeze in?

i will try that. if not, ill take a few quick pics and post them up.

#2-this is also what it looked like when i first took it off, looks abit bent? possible giving the exhaust less room to fit?

#5-bottom bolt, hard to see kind of dark but it is not lined up right or you would b able to c to the other side.

I would say to put the bottom told in then the rest should line up when you tighten it, or maybe that tab is bent?

thats what im trying to say i mean i cannot get the bottom bolt in at all, ive tried to do it first but the silencer still wont fit right and its not pushed back far enough for me to slip the bolt in.
if i could just get the bottom one to line up then i could probably pull the silencer back to fit with the top bolt but i cant get it to.
i have a feeling that it is bent and that may b my problem

You wouldnt happen to have an aftermarket header would ya? That could cause your problem.

sure dont. its all stock. looking to replace it all this christmas with a full hmf ballance carbon fiber exhaust but i would sure like to have this fixed until then.

just make sure nothing is bindin up like that wire stuff in the stock silencer where it connects to the header. Use the twisting on method and you can even put some lubricant to get it on. It will just burn off and make a little smoke at 1st.
