k guys, got a Q for you. im totally confused by it. we have separate user profiles for our family, and my moms profile recently started to make random noises. like, one time there was a soundtrack that came on that sounded like a porno...with the girl whining and everything, then another time it was a random news announcer, a talk show, music...then you here that mouse clicking noise all the time. only my moms profile does this and we have no clue why. shut the computer off, and the turn it on the nxt day and it still does it. it does it if the internet is up or if it isnt. the only way to stop it is to turn the speakers off. anyone have any ideas as to what it is?

Simplest thing to do is remake the account. The files should be easily accessible through C:/documents and settings/ and under your mom's account.

that is what I would do, esp if that noise keeps coming up

i would just delete that user account, and make a new one under "control panel" and "user accounts"

That and just for grins run a spy-ware checker on your PC. Something like adaware or the like.

Scan with this it finds most things, cleans up temp files and registry errors too. http://www.microsoft.com/protect/products/computer/safetyscanner.mspx
