I am getting new tires and rims soon and was wondering if i put the 19x6x10" holshots on the front that it would make my quad handle worse or better or about the same? I am going with 20x11x9 in the rear. I am also getting wheel spacers on all four corners so this will affect it too.............

Thanks

I have the 19" holeshot mx's too and the handleing is great, but they wear very fast if you ride on pavement and i'm sure they would blow out in trails due to there soft ompound.

Well i dont have to worry about pavement since i dont ride on it, but i do some trails everynow and when. So are they softer than the stock ohtsus???

Thanks!

I have rode mine in the woods alot no holes what so ever and these are some serius trails. They are actually 4 ply tires so should hold up good on trails. I think the razrs would be better and cheaper. the 19 inch ones but sence you have 20 inch rear maybe check into the 20 inch holeshots.

Nacs are you the one that told me that they will have 19" razrs coming out?? Also how well did your fronts hold up?? (ware, grip etc etc??)

Thanks

the grip was great. I think the fronts dont wear as fast as the rear. ever sence i stoped riding on the road the tread is staying. The tread will go twice as fast on pavement. Yes i was the one that told you about the razrs. Overal the holeshot fronts are good but the razrs willl be cheaper. The rears are not worth the price the turftumers are better in my opinion.

but remember,,,these 19inchers are for MX tracks Only,,not trail riding or anything else,,,if you trail ride with them,,they'll beat you to death,,,make sure to get them on a set of rims too,,this way you can switch out wheels for different riding conditions...

what if you were to run 20"s on the front and rear?? Could ya run both trail and track??

Yes you could,,,I guess your talking abou the new ITP MX 20 incher tires for the front. I know when I have the 19's up front I fell every little bump and with the stockers the front end soaks up the bumps and small arm jerkers a lot better. If ya can save up and get a complete set of rims and tires and then you have both but I'm guessing that ain't an option for ya..All I can say is if you do trail riding or anything besides MX track don't get small front tires or back tires,,,I'd stick with a 21 inch front and 20 in the back but go with razr's or something with a stiffer sidewall than our stockers..and these sized will work OK for on a track,,I've seen guys with 19's up front and 20's in the back on a MX track,,$200 for 2 front tires and .190 rims..

Actually i am going to get tires and rims. I was talkin about the new 20" itp tires too. I think i might go that route for the front tires and get razrs for the rears. I havent really decided yet. So yeah i will have my stockers there too, they are not in that bad shape and they do have some ware left. Actually about 35% left in the rear and about 50 i front

I seen that article in ATVsport or ATVaction I don't remember what mag it was but it was on how doug gust is testing out the all new razr 19in mx tire, it looks pretty sweet. Oh yea the mx holeshots are 4 ply? In the mag I ordered them from it said they are 2 ply.

My next set will be Maxxis MX tires all around,,I figure if there gonna sponsor the GNCC and GNC series then they deserve my money for helpin out our sport,,,you guys should consider that too,,,they're doing a lot more than any other company is so you might wanna give them your money too. And I'm sure there MX tires are just as good as holeshots, turftamers,,etc..

I have the 20x6x10's up front and 18x11x8 in the rear. They still handle like the 19's as in quick steering but it gives you a little more "give" sort of say.I find the holeshot mx to wear down pretty quick, but thats because the track is hard pack.As for trail riding,i hope you have a skid plate, cause i rode in the woods a couple of times and got caught on a lot of stumps and stuff. When i went home and washed it my rear skid plate was cracked and it actually pulled a bolt out of the swing arm(the bolt that fastens the skid plate to swing arm).

Sounds good. I am pretty set on getting the 20's. I plan on getting a skid soon. I do about 65% trail and about 35% track. So i wanted something for both. So would you think they would wear quick on dirt that is not as packed as you ride?? Or would they ware just as quick becuase they are that soft.............

Before i started to race the quad all i did was trail ride.I used 20x11x9 holeshots and 21x7x10 holeshots. As far as the 19 or20's up front wearing quickly,i think they wear much faster than the 21's.Ive had my 20's up front for two races and about four practices and i see a lot of wear.My 21 i raced 5 races practiced about 20 or 25 times and even did a little trail riding and a little ruff ryding on the road and they are still in good shape.

hey u have it backwards my friend put smaller tires in the front than in the rear and it handled like s*** so myuncle just today put 18 inch turf tamers on the rear and 22 inch fast treckers (which handle good) with bigger tires in the front the bike will handle better and get better low end speed because of changing the ratio he put them on the raptor and it works great but it sacrifices some ground clearence

I never said i had smaller tires in the front.Ive always had either the 18 inch turf tamers, holeshots or razrs in the rear with either 19's 20's or 21's.I found the 20 inch mxs up front to work the best.now i only have one race and then i'm putting ing the 425 kit and sending out my head to get new valves and to be cleaned up

So would you think running 20's in the front and the rear work?? or would that be a bad idea? Now i am thinkin of just running 21" razrs up front...............

If you do more trail riding its good. But at the track the 20's ,to me feel a little bouncy.plus i didnt drop the front sprocket down a tooth so my gearing was a little off with the 20's.With the 18's i think you can get through the whoop section a lot faster. But for everyone i guess its preference, but you dont see many races ,except gncc riders sporting 20's in the rear.
