I am finalizing my plans for my upcoming 450R build and am stuck on what a-arms to go with. I will be running Fox Float Evol X DSC shocks up front and was originally going to go with Laegers +2 MX arms but then started looking at Walsh +2.5 Flow arms as well. There is a pretty good difference in price and was wondering what makes the Walsh arms so expensive in comparison to most other brands? Is it worth it?

I was even looking at Houser MX +2 arms as well. I am not a huge fan of Lonestar (hear mixed opinions about quality) but ultimately want the best setup for the Fox shocks.

Walsh makes some really good stuff..

Laegers a little cheaper, but still good. I think itll come down to watch you prefer...oh and the price!

those are both real good front ends, one differance between walsh and laegers is the walsh would be castor (or camber? cant remember) adjustable at the frame with the heim joints. If you really wanted that adjustment you could get the JBs which are basically the same as Leagers but adjustable like the walsh. IMO just get the Leagers, youll save money and wont have the headaches of getting the adjustments correct, espcially if you are not at a level of racing where that is going to effect you.

I have LSR and there awesome, never had a problem, but between those too i would go walsh. By the way i would look into PEP's before Fox, i keep snapping off shrader valves and those gold caps, ive done it six times, the valves and caps are $6 a peice!!, my next shocks will deff be PEP

I don't necessarily have anything against Lonestar, but I have heard some mixed opinions. Come to think of it however, most of the concerns were with their axles, so perhaps I should take another look at their DC4 LT a-arms.

PEP has always been my second choice but two things have kept me away from them - 1) the take forever to get I hear 2) they are even more expensive than the Fox Evols. I do hear amazing things about PEP shocks however and most people that run them swear by them to the fullest degree.

The Walsh are also castor adjustable. Pretty much all aftermarket a-arms are camber adjustable. Ideally, I would like both adjustments in the rare instance that I get good enough to notice the differences. I must admit I will be really over-building this quad just so that I don't kick myself for taking a cheaper route and then regretting it.

you should really look into buying gibson a arms. ive had both walsh and gibson on a honda and I think the gibson gives you a better turning radius and a more precise turn. to me it feels like the wlash push to the outside of turns that just my 2 cents. anybody else out there feel the same?

Laeger/JB are the same arms, and Walsh makes a good product, but I prefer JB's products price wise. Never had an issue.

Are they actually the same product, just different branding, or are you saying they are similar to one another?

Walsh/Fox makes an amazing suspension combo.

You will be glad you spent the extra cash on ultra high quality parts, I promise!

The jig used to make the JB arms and the Laeger arms are identical. Essentially just different stickers :) If you had shocks built for JB arms, they would work the exact same as in the Laeger arm. Both take a 20.5" shock.

Walsh has one of the best handling front ends ont he market.. Gibson is prob the top front end for handeling, Walsh has more ground clearance tho.. And Gibsion is cheaper

I haven't really put much thought into Gibson but generally hear good things.

Cost is definitely a consideration as this is all coming out of my pocket and my list of desired modifications is currently north of $9k, not including the quad itself. What I don't want to happen is to take a shortcut somewhere to save a few bucks and then regret my decision and having to end up re-doing it.
