2008 Ds 450

New to the forum just bought a new 08 450..... Im having trouble with it starting when the motors cold any ideas??? Also are there any other recalls or problems I should know about??? Thanks..... By the way love the quad....

Also when I bought the quad the dealer was hitting the throttle while starting it.... Will this hurt the EFI?

I was told not to hit the throttle and it starts fine. My ds was first one at the dealer. So far I had poblems with the rear brakes and the fuel pump. As for recalls my rear sprocket was replaced for wearing out too fast and the coil pack had to be resoldered.

Thanks for the help man..... So does anyone know why mine wont start up right away when the motors cold Im talking it takes like 15-30 secs of starting whats normal for the CanAm????

Is the bike stock?

yes bike is 100% stock only rode for about an hour so far.....

When you turn on the ignition let the fuel pump stop. Should take about 5 sec then try start. This will let the right fuel pressure come out of the injectors.
