i was riding with my friend over the weekend and we were on this one trail for about 20 mins and we were stopped by a gate. so on the first gate we decided to make our own path around it and did that sucessfully. But when it came to the next gate there was no way around. all that riding and we had to turn around. Dont you hate when that happens?

Nope cause I dont go around gates, thats what gets areas closed to riding completely and gives us a bad name.....stick to the marked trails man.

the reason i am complaining, is because this is a daily trail me and my friends take to eachothers houses. the gates were the green ones with the orange and white taping on it. there was nothing wrong with the trail. why do you think they locked the gates?

Hey I saw that you are from Placerville. I went through there a couple of months ago on my way to go riding in the Tahoe area. Actually I go through there quite often when I take HWY 50 to go snowboarding on the South shore of Lake Tahoe. My family has a vacation home in on the west shore of the lake, right next to the Rubicon Trail trailhead. You ever ride up there? It's pretty cool. You ever ride at Prairie City? I ride there about once a month when I am bored witht the other places. It's not very far from Placerville.

I go to Prairie City sometimes, but get bored with it very quickly. There are some great trails at Stoneyford or Indian Valley Resevoir. They are about an hour or so away from Sacramento up I-5. Anyone ever been there?

     :grr :grr i just found out that forest rangers cut down a bunch of big trees to block trails and our small practice track we have in the forest i hate forest rangers they spoil all the fun

im not sure if it was the people who owned the property where i ride normally, or forest rangers but the normal trail i go riding on, some people stacked all these logs then put a chassis or something off an old car so i just made my way around trying not to make any tire marks. i didnt do anything wrong to deserve that. Why are old people these days so damn grumpy?

When people block the trails they do it for a reason!!!!!!! Around here it is ILLEGAL to ride on State or Federal property so the guys from the DNR do that to keep people out of the property then if a CO catches you it is time to pay a $75 ticket and say buy buy to your quad. Also private landowners do it to keep people off of their land. If something like that hapened to me I would just find a new place to ride because IT IS WAY WRONG TO RIDE AROUND OR OVER THESE BARIERS that were put there to keep you out.
