how to keep water out

What do you guys do to keep water out of your airbox ? I see so many quads racing all done up and going threw deep water racing and always wonder how they keep the filter dry. Also, the must not be running the lids because they have motor work and everything.

Just because you have motor mods doesn't mean you can't run a lid. Sure, running without the lid can generally give you a horse or two, but it isn't worth a DNF if you suck water into your engine.

well put. I run a lid on my xc bike and one of thise waterproof prefilters just for the added peace of mind. As long as its jetted right for the lid on and your mods you wont miss the extra horse or 2
