I want to sell my Laeger's hybrid frame and engine/components.

It's a conversion, but it was done right. The pivot goes through the engine, it has a headstay, and every little piece of clearance is measured and done with precision. I will include all spacers, and detailed instructions on what's different on it.

I am sick of the 4-stroke and will be looking for a Laeger's CR500 link 250R Frame. I just miss the 2-stroke too much, and know it like the back of my hand. Here's the specs on all my stuff.

2001 Laeger's 250R frame converted to fit YZ426, have pics of the entire build. Flip top subframe.

Laeger's CR500 link swingarm machined to fit YZ 426 engine.

2001 YZ426 Engine
High compression piston
Hinson Basket
Sparks headwork
Wet sump Kit w/ neutral switch block off
Stock header w/ Custom mid pipe & TC shorty.
FCR 39mm Carb
All elctronics.
Kicker with Walsh Extension
YZ450 Cams (easy to start)

Everything on this frame fits like it is supposed and looks right at home.

Powdercoated white, so is the swingarm, here are some pics from my build.

Open to reasonable offers, would like to get about $1700 out of the frame and swingarm, and $1800 out of the motor and all components.

Forgot to mention engine also has a YFZ Pro Design shifter.

And I will throw in the nerfs & grab bar for a little extra $, the frame is a pro peg mount frame, and that is the style grab bar you have to run on a flip top, AC MX grab bars won't work on that subframe, been there, tried that.

I'll let the whole bike go for $7000, it's got the best of everything, I spared no expense whatsoever on this machine.

Will also include extra set of nerfs, seat cover, Hardkor hubs, extra Pro Trax Steering stem (hard to get ahold of!)

Laeger frame, of course
Axis shocks
+4+1 Pro Trax
Hipers
RPM Dominator
PWR Radiator
Full Bore Shrouds
Maier Plastic,
Fiberglass hood (Quad Tech Replica)
Quad Tech Seat Cover
K&N Filter
SS brake lines
TRX450R Throttle
PEP Stabilizer
Cannondlae Billet front hubs on it now
Waver Rotors
Twin Row Carrier
Anti-Fade
CRF450 front caliper adapter to use as a rear bake
Hinson Brake Pedal

Lots of other goodies...

This is how she sits right now

Will get pics of anything you guys want me to.

Tempting, but I don't know if I want a Suzuki, it's definitely trick!

I'd trade you straight up for my R back, lol, just would want to swap some things over like brakes, axle, hubs, front end & shocks (my hybrid shocks are valved perfect for me.), plastic/hood/tank/shrouds, front end (so I don't have to repowdercoat the a-arms), wheels.

I'd be willing to drive out again and make a day out of it swapping parts one weekned.

I just can't get that hybrid jetted right, I am gonna tune all week.

If its being really hard to jet you may have some other issues, air leak? or blown head gasket, they don't always smoke if the head is just weaping a little. Generally these engines should be 42-50 pilot depending on elevation, ncvq needles works great 3rd or 4th and like a 162-178 ish Depending on elevation and humidity, but anywhere in those specs and it should still run pretty good. If its a starting issue could be valves?

You could have intake problems also, looks like your intake is piped out of your intake side of the airbox? Not the filter side? could be chocked up.

My bike is being powdered right now so I thought I'd post a couple pics of my intake setup to give you some ideas on that if your not happy with yours. This intake fits on the bike perfect, no binding, or wierd hoses, I've had several hybrids and this is by far the best intake I've had.

LT500 boot?

I have a machined piece that connects my boot to my filter, not much kinking in my boot, it's just like it was on my 250R with the boot around the CR500 shock.

I pulled my head off last night, there was some moisture in the cylinder, although the head gasket looked alright, I can post up some pics. I need a valve job though.

I am going to drain my oil, and check my mechanical seal and replace that, and the head gasket for now, and see where I stand.

usually if it was leaking in, the piston will have a small clean spot, or wash mark at the problem point. Gasket doesn't really tell much because when you pull it apart it all kind of looks wet.

There's a small clean spot about 1/16" near the edge where I saw some water drops. I will take pics of it tonight.

what do you mean piped out? like my bike when i got it running again i was having over heating issues as well and it got better whe i got a good overflow and coolant.. then i got a new intake boot cause i had a bad one and it start to run a little bit cooler after that and after i played with the jetting some.. then the last weekend i rode it no problems and come to find out a week or 2 later i cranked it up and just puffed out grey smoke and the overflow had oil in it cause the head gasket was shot so im wondering how to fix the problem and not have overheating issues anymore when i get my new motor.. oh ya im also down in FL if that helps any
