good deal?

I'm going to look at an '04 tomorrow. I talked to the guy today and he said it's in near mint condition with a few very light trail scratches on the plastics. It's got an exhaust (not sure what brand, but I think it's just a slip on), K&N filter, jet, and nerfs. Not sure if that's it or not. He said he'd take $3k for it.

Also if I get it I want to mod it some to keep a one up on my riding buddies. Planned to run a Hot Rods +3mm stroker crank, forged JE 11.5:1 (to run pump gas), and Hot Cams stage 1 cams.

What do you guys think?

Sounds like a good deal if its in as good of a condition as he says.

BTW you can go as far as 12.5:1 and be plenty safe on 93oc pump gas with that setup.

Was told the stroker would raise comp .5, which would put me at 12:1. I'd rather be safe than sorry on that.

Picked her up this morning and rode a bit at my buddies house. Then I took it home and rode a bit on our farm, during which I hit a huge hole I didn't see coming up. Got thrown from the fourwheeler, slid/rolled 20'-30', skinned my knees/left calf/left shoulder/left forearm/right hand/lower back, and watched it roll through a barb wire fence. :( Luckily I didn't get hurt too bad just really, really sore and the quad isn't damaged too bad. Just a few scratches on the hood.

The mods on it were an Armadillo front bumper, AC rear grab bar, Dasa full exhaust, jetted, K&N filter, Pro Armor nerf bars, tag bars, and a parking brake block off.
