When I turn my quad on, it fires up just fine, and idols just fine, but as soon as you give it gas it just starts popping, and if you keep giving it gas it'll shut off. Both spark plugs have spark, the airfilter is clean, theres gas in it, and I cant find any wire problems.

ANYBODY KNOW WHAT TO DO?

I had this issue on my Renegade 800 and my DS450. Took some dielectic grease and did all the connections. Just from washing the machines water got into some of the connections and there was performance issues. I also dipped the fuse's to make sure. Hope this solves your problem.

It might be going in limp mode for some reason.

sounds like limp mode?? Disconnect the battery and leave it off for a couple minutes. then reconnect and try it.

Definitely sounds like limp mode. When I read your message at first I didn't think of that, but what it seems like.

that is what I thought too, but the check engine light is not blinking, and I hooked a jumper box onto the battery and tried and it still wouldn't run when I gave it gas. It has coolant, and fresh oil, but when it idols it does smell like it's overheating. After it runs for a couple of minutes

In the shop manual the limp home mode max rpm is 5500.
Limp home mode. The ecm may automatically set default
parameters to the engine management to ensure the adequate operation of the engine if a component of the fule injection system
is not operating properly. The engine will operate with reduced
performance to protect the engine. In more severe cases, the
engine rpm will be limited, also to protect the engine.

understandable...But I am under the impression that in limp home mode the check engine light will flash, and it does not do that.

I'm not 100% about the flashing. I had mine go into limp once before I modified the computer and I didn't notice the flashing ever. Possible I just didn't see it, but it was even a night race so would have been more evident.

weve seen this a few times and have found the problem to be caused by two diff.things one the air sensor or wires going to the sensor have a problem the other was the fuel injector both would allow the quad to start and idle but would not run off idle nether of these would flash the ck. eng. light.

Unhook the FMI and try-FMI isn't necessary with the pink wire cut!

I had the two wires under the brake lever backwards, I swaped them around and it ran fine.
