So we have a DRR 90, and have a few questions. Is it better to pre-mix the oil and gas, or let it mix on its own? Our 90 cc does not seem to have much low end at all. You have to give it throttle about 2/3rds for it to barely go. Is this normal? under trail conditions with sand, if you stop, it will hardly move, even if you give it full throttle. I know this is a little two stroke, but I was expecting more low end go. Are there any adjustments I can make to make it better for trail riding? something just does not seem right. Thanx for any insight on this.

Drop your front sprocket to a 17T since you have the high speed tranny gears

That will help a lot

The RPM engagement should be around 5,500 to 6,000.

Check your throttle cable adjustment as well...you may have too much play in it

17 tooth front sprocket as Gary said, will make a big difference. pre mix if your not already. check your plug and see if it running rich or lean and change your jetting to fix it. Gary also has some springs and or clutches that will make it better off the line. change to a smaller tire like the 18 snow hog depending on what kind of riding you do.

I'm not an expert like the guys above, but that doesn't sound right to me. Either jetting or clutching???

I know my younger sons 50 has no problems breaking the rear wheels loose with me on it in deep sand, with 18" tires in the rear (full size like the mx guys use on the big 4-strokes, not the mini tires).

The 90, forget it, the things an animal, even when stock we never had the problems you're having unless something was wrong.

good luck

the new gears a very hi, and the clutch and jetting will just make it even better,

The ones Gary sends out have the gearing change done when he has the sprockets in stock.

Have you checked your rollers? Maybe flat spotted or too heavy.

He has a stock quad with the high speed tranny gears...

The front sprocket needs to be lowered to get more bottom end.

Once this is done we can look at how it performs then.

Until then it would be guesswork
