no helmet comeback

alright this is the perfect question for you smartaces out there. a kid told me today i was stupid for wearing a helmet cause all it does is get in the way and makes you hott. whats a funny comeback to that?

I dont have a comeback for this and by no means am I saying dont wear a helmet. But a close friend of mine was in a quad accident before and wasnt wearing a helmet. He was closed lined by a steel wire and the doc said if he was wearing a helmets he would have been decapitated!!

Gotta love the idiots that thinks helmets serve no purpose.... They obviously never smacked their head hard enough to relize that.

I learned a hard lesson about not strapping up your helmet while riding..... That thing can fly off like a cannon and leave you knocked out for the count.

If it's a young kid just say that Indiana Cross-Country Racing association uses the AMA and ATVA bi-laws and under afore mentioned charter you must conform to the standards under 29CFR 1910.26 the Proper Protective Equiptment standard states all riders must wear amongst other gear, Helmets. So it would be stupid for you to practice without a helmet as it would not mimick actual racing condtions.

At that point he will be so lost he won't have any comeback.

Telling him to suck one is probably the best one. Or they are called brain buckets and you guess it would be pointless for him to wear one. Personally I would grab my helmet by the mouth piece and smoke him in the head with it and then ask him imagine how that would have felt if you would have had one on.

haha, this kid has obviously never rode on a track or through woods with other riders, where dust, dirt, and rocks fly in your face.

what i would do...is put your helmet on, head butt him in the face and ask "did that hurt?" and when he says "**** ya it did!" u can say "i feel fine" lol, that would be awesome!

You're right, it does get in the way of the rocks, trees, and other high speed impacts. And, do you really think it makes me look hot? (bat eyes)...

Had a freind who thought like that, until he broke both cheekbones and ripped his nose off of his face (litterally) when hitting the gas cap on his quad after a bad landing at the dunes, followed up by 4 plastic surgerys. A MX helmet would have netted him a broken visor, chin vent, and a headache.

Or you could jsut start calling him Johnny Statistic.
