Stock front shock adjustment

How do you adjust the stock front shocks to make them a little stiffer? My manual says something about turning a cam but how?

they have 5 notches in the bottom, take it off the ground i think its easiest when its on the back bar, get a pipe wrench and turn it to the higher notch (less of an indent) to be stiffer. lower notch (bigger indent) to lossen them
