front of side panels gettin hooked on my boots

anybody had this problem & what did you do to fix it. The quad is a 450R. the side panels. under the gas tank towards the front there is a post which goes in to a rubber washer. but the point of the plastic get hung up on my boots. both sides.

thinking of drilling a hole & zip tie it tight against the frame so it won't come out.

Your thoughts?

I doesn't happen to me, but I've heard of it happening to others. They did just what you are describing to fix it.

I would ziptie too, just use two of em.

i zip tied mine.... my buddy put a nut and washer behind the rubber part and then ran a little bolt thru the plastics it works really well too

I'm going for the zip tie. Its lighter & easier to cut off & maybe it will remold itself tight against itself where it belongs in the first place - Thanx for your help.
