i tried to run the .006 intake and the .008 exhaust clearance on my hotcam which was told to be the clearance on this cam. but my valves were chattering pretty bad. i set the clearance at .004 intake and .006 exhaust but the motor seems to level out around 1000 rpms before the rev limiter. should i go back with the hotcams reccomended clearance. and if i do is the chattering normal or is something wrong.

.005 and .006

the setting they supply are for dessert racing which the cam is designed for

you will be fine with what i said. i talked to tony from hotcam for about a hour about it.

i have had mine this way for 25 hours, no probs.
