did you read it at all?

sounds like what hes telling you is that the heavy duty cam chains are just crf450 chains with a higher price

"i have done some research and found out what the engine builders use as the "heavy duty cam chain" for the 400ex. the cam chain that they sell for $90 to $100 is the crf450 cam chain."

O ok, i get what your saying. I found a crf450 cam chain today for 50 bucks, i think thats cheap enough. Another Question?

I have an oil leak around my head gasket? Is this common on a 440 ex?

Sounds like the head gasket is getting ready to go. Since your in there slap a new one on and torque the head bolts down correctly, should fix it.
If you are indeed running a 12.5:1 piston with a shaved head and got the time might want to consider Heavy duty head studs, you can get them installed for about $100. GT THUNDER does them.

I personally do not use them but I freshen my top end up and check the TQ on my head bolts more often than most.

Well i got a new gasket in it. only been in there for a month. But i am goin to go back a re TQ them and maybe itl stop it. It only does it when it gets hot. and i have had people tell me that re TQ them after the break in period. So i am goin to try that and maybe that will fix it.

And i Have stepped up to the HD studs. So idk why it would be leaking? alot say its the facing, but i had the facing perfessionaly done, and paid for it so i know its right. What else could it be.
