I bet that set up will be cool. Keep us posted on the outcome.

I have wondered what the evol's feel like.

Also, I wonder if they weigh any less than convetionally sprung suspension. It might be a good way to put the 700 on a diet, lol.

Where did you order those tires from?

the tires arent really released yet. I just posted a picture of them for those of us that would like to be assured that stuff is coming for the trx700.

In other words .. general public arent available yet. You wont find them this year from Tucker Rocky or parts unlimited either. Matter of fact ... everyone should boycott TR and Parts Unlimited ..cause they are asshats.

got half of it on with 1 shock. the freakin a arm bushings were a sonofa***** to get out... didnt figure a new quad would be all that difficult to get out ... had to borrow a pickle bar to get them out...

the gaskets and the inserts (i guess you call them bushings) on the bottom fit fine ..the ones on the top ... ill either have to spread out the shock housing bracket or shave off a couple mm on each side of the shock bushings ... no big deal being Fox made the shocks for me on a whim ... ill put them in a vice in the morning and shave them off ... will forward the info to fox for future customers.

I did take a few pictures with my camera ..but forgot the doc to load onto the computer :(. Ill post them tomorrow when im finished.

the roll design kit is top notch ...easy install ... i just need to find/purchase some brake line clamps or use some tie straps to get me by until i find some ... no big deal ... kinda expect it with brand new stuff

the front sits maybe 2 inches wider in the front ... i rode it back to my shed across some ruts purposely ... cant feel them on the right side where i have the arm installed with the shock.

the kit for the a-arms include ..both lower and upper a-arms .. bushings for the wheel .... extended tie rod .... plastic washers (for the bolts holding on the a-arms) and plenty of stickers... pretty easy straight forward installation.

i pumped up the shox to 100lb ... of course i havent dialed in the things yet ..but already can tell a huge difference in ride ... ill be looking forward to purchasing some rears soon.... oem ones sux.

Sexy!! Front end, I like your graphics and that bumper flows with the front of the quad pretty good.

09-21-2008, 11:18 AM
what are your plans for the rear?

trailin'me
09-21-2008, 12:19 PM
hopefully roll will go ahead and make some rear parts ... for now ill go with their recommendations and put some 1" spacers on the wheels from OMF (they are machining some spacers to fit the wheels i ordered from them).

Ill also put some fox evos on the rear as well. Right now I think i've picked up everything that is available for this quad.... yall let me know if you find some rear end a arms....

Have you called up Roll Design to see if they make rears?

trailin'me
09-21-2008, 12:45 PM
i asked them when i purchased the front end ... their pro recommended i use the 1" rear spacer and they do have "rears" in the works and will support the 700xx full steam, but were somewhat surprised there werent more 700xx's sold due to the faltering economy ... so i dunno. I hope they do ... if not ill buy whomever has it first i guess.

Yea, I suppose if you wanted them really badly i'm sure they would make you some.

Yea, the straight side is the side that needs to be facing forward. Changem around quick before you have problems.

i got it switched around ... put an hour meter under the seat ... ordered some brake line clamps ...and my wheels from OMF will be here the 3rd it seems.

cant wait to get it done!

These Fox Shox are the shyt ... fer real. I highly recommend anyone that is in the market for shocks ..to get these float evol's.... at least HALF the weight of any sprung shock.
