WORKS TRIPLE RATE SHOCKS Broken Spring!?!?!?

Any of you guy's with Works Triple rates ever broken a spring? I ran a hare scramble Sat. and after getting the bike cleaned up I noticed the broken spring. Is this a common problem or did i just have a bad spring? It's time for them to be rebuilt but I don't think that should have anything to do with the springs. Just wanting to know if any of you have had the same problem. Thanks

i've heard of that happening with works.

What has happened is that you need a larger spacer in the section where the spring broke. The spacer will stop the spring from compressing to much. When it compresses to much the spring will break. I broke about 3-4 before Works fixed the problem.

I've got a full set of Works triple rate springs I used for 1 year before I got +2 a arms if your'e interested.

Just send them to the Quadshop and have Jeff rebuild them with some new Springs.

I broke that spring on my old works to, didnt really effect how it rode though..... i rode it any way, beating the shocks into the ground. I regret doing that b/c works couldnt rebuild them when i sent them in, they gave we new bocies etc.
