K&N airfilter

i just purchased a k&n and no more then 2 weeks later my motor blows up. i called suzuki because i have a 2008 ltr 450 and told them about it and they said they would cover it if i didn't have a k&n and even if i lied about it wouldn't matter because it's doing it to alot of newer suzuki's and they can tell by the way the jug looks. so my point is i advise you not to buy this product because it blew my motor and it could do the same to you.

I was just getting ready to purchase a K&N.....could you tell that the filter had passed dirt? Did it leak at the flange?

This is interesting... How is the K&N filter blowing up LTR engines? And why would it only affect this quad? That was one of the first things I did for my 06 LTR, replace the filter and intake with a Pro-Design with K&N filter. The stock filter sucks, more chance of the engine blowing from that! And almost 2 years with the K&N on my LTR with no probs. I would be very interested in hearing more on this...
