86 parts on an 88-89 frame

I have an 86 r can i swap all the stuff in to an 88-89 frame, is there any mods u have to do for this to work,also my frame is bent that y im askng?

It won't be a direct swap, there are a few differences. Like the swing arm/motor mount is different. There are other things as well but I am not sure of all of them.

Everything will work except the footpegs.The swinger will work without any mods,the bolt will be exposed in gap of the swinger buy a tube can be added for protection if you want.The grab is another thing that may not fit right,the bolt holes on the later models are spaced differently.Plastic,steering stem,tank,a arms,etc will bolt on.
