Ok, I have talked to some people and just wanted to see what everyone else thought about our problem. We have a 2008 LC DRX50 that is weak on the top end. I had a ported cylinder put on it, and it failed so we went back to stock and now I can't get it to run right. I have tried several clutch combinations, jetting, replaced the belt, and have not been able to get any results. Does anybody have some suggestions on what to try and get it to come alive? Thank you everyone for your help.

Remember its a 50. They work best on stock clutching from my experience and posting is a touchy issue, allot of people claim to have the best porting for the 50 when in fact most hurt the 50's performance on one end or the other if not both.

Can you provide more info.... What is not right?

What other changes did you make? Pipe, clutch etc

Go back to stock (all pcs) and make 1 change at a time from there

What is your compression? Could you be experiencing bad crank seals?

Did you adjust your timing?

What belt? etc....

The top ring failed on the piston and burnt a hole through the top edge of the piston. Sent the cylinder back and it was salvgeable. Should have the cylinder back either today or tomorrow.
