Anybody ever get an additional key for their 400EX?

I don't want to bypass the ignition switch, I already have one working key. But I'd like to have a spare, maybe keep it in the truck at all times in case I forget or loose my original key. There has to be some way to order an OEM key without ordering a complete new ignition switch, right?

you can either take in the old key, or just bring in the number from the ignition. it takes about 5 minutes and $5.

lol....stealerships....lol. Few people carry those blanks.

If you don't have one period, you can bring the ignition, or write down the code off the cylinder as pipeless said.

At our shop...key copy is $3.99.....code cutting is like $16.49. I don't know why they charge so much for a code cut, because sometimes it is easier to code cut them than trying to make a copy of someones old beat down key.
